Cake Inspiration
We've picked our baker!!
We've decided to go with the cake to the left, with a few modifications:
--We love the taller layers (they're double the "normal" height), but that would feed way too many people if we kept them like that! Therefore, our baker is making the bottom half of each layer faux so we can still do the 3 tiers with 3 flavors!
--No cake topper!! We like the simplicity of the design as it is.
--For the "decals," we are going to tie in the Save the Date city skyline using fondant.
--Ribbon will be navy blue
Our flavors, from top to bottom:
--Vanilla Latte: I wanted spice cake, but they didn't have it, so this is my replacement! LOVE THIS FLAVOR! It's only got a hint of coffee taste and even my non-coffee drinking FI loved it!
--Chocolate Mint with mint buttercream filling: FI's pick. I think it will be great! Like eating an Andes!
--White Chocolate: a traditional white wedding cake, only they add melted white chocolate. Yum yum! Our baker's signature flavor!
